Waterloo station and Cannon Street station were filled with the sound of bagpipes and drums last Thursday to mark London Poppy Day when serving military personnel descended on the stations to raise money for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
The bagpipes and drums were a new feature at Waterloo this year, and Whites Property Manager Samantha Jack proudly took part as part of St Andrews Hamble Band of Pipes and Drums.
Samantha has been playing at Cannon St London Poppy Day Appeal for the last 5 years.
She says, “ I just love being part of such a happy group of players and participating in such fantastic activities, enabling us to remember our friends and family members who once gave their lives for us in the war.”
At Whites Estate Agents offices in Castle Street Salisbury, we are selling poppies, which raises money for the fantastic work of The Royal British Legion. Do pop in if you would like to buy one.
