Living in the Wylye Valley
The Wylye Valley offers an intoxicating mix of pretty houses and timeless, beautiful countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (National Landscape).
The Valley is made up of a trail of attractive villages and hamlets winding along the banks of the crystal-clear waters of the River Wylye, which cuts through Wiltshire’s chalk downs. Rolling hills, charming villages, and lush countryside make this a haven for walkers, horseriders and cyclists.
You’ll find traditional country pubs and plenty of historic sites. The biennial Wylye Valley Art Trail sees some of the area’s finest art studios opening their doors to the public.
Wylye (pronounced Why-lee) itself is halfway between Warminster and Salisbury, with easy access to both the A303 and A36.
