Living in the Nadder Valley
We’ve been selling and letting homes in the Nadder Valley, the small town of Tisbury and the picturesque villages around it, for more than 60 years. That’s how we know how amazing it is to live here, with its stunning backdrop of thatched cottages, chalky downlands and green water meadows, all connected by the meandering River Nadder.
The valley stretches from Wilton to Donhead St Mary, near Shaftesbury, and forms part of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (National Landscape). Despite its traditional charm and glorious surroundings, the Nadder Valley also has excellent facilities and schools, a direct line to London Waterloo and an increasingly vibrant food and drink scene.
But don’t just take our word for it! The Sunday Times voted Tisbury as one of the top villages to live in in the UK outside of London, while Tatler Magazine described it as a place “where you will find a wealth of cutting-edge art, fine food, cultural goings-on and appealing places to stay. The area is brimming with national landmarks, privately-run country houses, and enterprising, modern restaurants.”
