Fifield Bavant

Fifield Bavant is a hamlet rather than a village, but deserves a mention as it boasts the smallest church in Wiltshire and arguably the second smallest in England.

The tiny and picturesque Grade II listed church of St Martin was built in the 13th Century.

Halfway between Ebbesbourne Wake and the lively village of Broad Chalke, Fifield Bavant sits on the north bank of the River Ebble.

It’s about a 20-minute drive to Salisbury and all its facilities, while the liveliest of the villages in the Chalke Valley, Broad Chalke is just a five-minute drive away.
